Theoretically yes, that is what it means. But the Matrix is likely to have
such a fine positional "grain" that you would not notice. It is a bit like
asking "If you are in hell, does it really matter if the flames are a
million degrees or a billion?"

It is sort of the same thing. For example, over the years printer resolution
has gone up. First we had 72dpi, then 300dpi. Now 2400 dpi is common. You
might extrapolate from this that in 10 years, we would have 40,000dpi
printers; however, this will probably never happen. Why? Because once you
hit 2400dpi, the human eye really doesn't notice much at resolutions beyond
that. I would assume that the Matrix would have reached this "positional
vanishing point" by now, and that you would not notice the difference
between the Matrix and real life, as far as personal motion goes.

For example, try moving your finger in increments of millionths of a
centimeter. How can you even tell. Your pulse probably makes your finger
move further than that all the time, and you don't notice.
