Hoi chummers!

It's been literally years since I last was a member of this list, having been
kicked from my hotmail account after having to change from my aol account
last time. I'll probably have to change again soon but for now I'm back and I'm
glad to be back! I'm also extremely out of touch so if anybody has anything
they can add to fill me in on this 4th Edition I just heard about? Also if
anybody has any tips or information or advise for using Detroit as an alternate
setting. I'm just not familiar at all with Seattle and it tends to hinder my
ability to effectively storytell. Yes, I'm aware "storytell" is not technically
a
word, but if you can be a storyteller or be involved in storytelling, then it's
high time the root word be called into existence! ::grins::

Oh! And I'm a computer gamer who has invested a lot of time and effort into
Neverwinter Nights. I've found the Shadowrunner Nights project and downloaded
it, but it doesn't seem to have any mods made for it yet. Does anybody know
where I can find some? Please?!?

Just my .02¥
The Mad Kilted Cyberzombie GM

PS - It seems to me that aol uses HTML, if so this is unintentional on my
part and if anybody knows how to turn this off so that it hopefully doesn't cause
any issues please let me know. Failing that, does anybody know if gmail uses
HTML?

Seems like lots of old-timers decide to come back to us lately. Welcome
home! ;)

The important thing you need to know is that there are, basically, two
camps: those who like it (although not all to the same degree), and
those who damn it to hell. If you really want to know, I suggest
browsing the list archives at
http://lists.dumpshock.com/pipermail/shadowrn/ [1] for discussions about
SR4. The first ones should be something like six months ago.

[1] Note: these are _not_ at
http://warthog.dumpshock.com/pipermail/shadowrn/ as the ShadowRN page at
http://lists.dumpshock.com/mailman/listinfo/shadowrn tries to tell us.

Target: UCAS covers Detroit, and there is also some additional info in
Shadows of North America. I'd start with Target: UCAS myself, and adding
any real-world knowledge you may have to it.

Your message looks to be HTML-free -- at least, it looked exactly the
same whether I had Thunderbird display it as Plain Text or as Original HTML.

Whoa! Time must be passing really quickly for me since I was not aware
you were missing for so long! Eeek. Welcome back. You may want to
look at SR4 before diving into discussions. It seems there are at
least two strong factions with regard to SR4: crazy people and those
that should be locked up. You can guess which people fit into which
faction. :-)

BTW, I would go for gmail over aol, but that is me.

Hehehehehehehehehehehe... I'm not craaaazzzyyyyy... hehehehehehehe.... I'm
merely insaaaaaaaaane!

Having both AOL and gmail, I'd heartily agree. If nothing else, with gmail
you can store all of the list messages off your hard-drive *g* Plus, it's
less annoying to get to than aol.com <http://aol.com>; if you happen to be
checking mail from non-AOL connections lol (Or just from another screenname,
for that matter)

Oh... and welcome back!

Ditto that. If you want an invite, just ask. Heck, if anyone wants a
Gmail invite just ask. I have 100 invites and I'm sure there are
several other ShadowRN members with 100 invites ;)

Yup.
And I'd have the Bullbot welcome you back, but I apparently misplaced him
for a couple years. I found him a few weeks ago in the garage, underneath
some mouldy boxes. He's pretty rusted up, dunno if I can get him working
again.

Somebody needs to go on a run to steal some parts for the Bullbot repair
project. Does anybody know where I can "lift" an infinite improbability drive
generator?

I'd try whoever made that Hitchhiker's Guide movie, because if you steal
it, they may not be able to make another one.
