I was thinking about what kind od "cult entertianment was around in the
2060's. By "cult" I mean things like going to see the Rocky Horror Picture
Show for the umpteenth jillion time. (A troll wearing lingere pretending to
be Dr. Frankenfurter is a scary thought)
What kind of things would attract that kind of following in an Awakened
society?

In our game...well, the Rocky Horror Picture Show is still going strong.
Scary, huh?

Did they convert it to Trideo? Now *that* would be scary :)

Or, a simsense reproduction (actors and actresses play the parts and
then the effects wizards step in to make Frank look like the orginal)
with the option to view it from any character's perspective.

Or does that idea cross the line of good taste? ;)

They might have, but there's a flatscreen revival house in the area
where our team is holed up at the moment...it causes a major brownout
when everything is kicked into gear every night at midnight. Thomas has
not partaken of this particular theater, but he's not a virgin.

That's spooky, but the ability to get that close to Susan Sarandon has
some appeal. <g>

The very notion of it in the first place crosses that line. I thought
that was kinda the point....

Actually, a long while back in one of my games, there was a plot
element that involved the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'd figured that
by that time, some very ambitous Rocky Horror fans had developed an
interactive simsense version of the whole Rocky Horror experience.
(Yes, I know interactive simsense is very tricky for an amateur to
implement, but have you ever had to clean up after Rocky Horror? Doing
the simsense would be less effort, trust me.)

Unfortunately, a sick, twisted serial killer type person had hacked
the code on the interactive simsense, and modified it into a
personafix BTL. I won't go into the full gory details, but in the
middle of the Rocky Horror Picture Show's plot, one of the characters,
Eddie (played by rocker Meat Loaf), is killed, and later eaten for
supper. Now imagine what that would be like with a room full of people
jacked into a personafix BTL, acting that out.

You are a sick, sick, sick individual.

I deeply regret not thinking this up myself....

Ooo ... I like this ... I wish I'd thought of this a couple of weeks ago
when I had one of the PC's *MALE* contacts accidentally slot a Maria
Mercurial bunraku p-fix chip ... Hey, waitasec ... that kind of sounds
Rocky Horrorish, doesn't it? :)

Rocky Horror Picture Show crossed the line of good taste a long
time ago. I'd say a producer who wanted to keep the risque nature would
sure as hell make said changes.

The worst part of this was that I came up with the idea while I was
still very much a Rocky Horror Virgin...I didn't actually attend a
screening until years after I'd come up with this particular idea.
