Make it an absolute minimum of Low Light and Electronic Mag 1 (Optic for
marksmen)

Add a little headware memory, even if you never plan to use it... If you
are never going to use it then have it locked off... The ability to store
incredibly vital stuff in a way which is "secure" will get you out of more
cr@* than a silenced Predator.

Finally, not cyberware but...
The implant every character should have if they can possibly fit it in...
The Sleep Regulator.

Too bad it's not allowed at chargen... (cultured bioware, and to high
availability)
I sooooo want one in real life, though. ;)

A large number of house rules exist to allow high availability items at
char gen, I allow Cultured Bioware, why not, what changes between the day
you last visited your cybersurgeon and the day you start running?
Most of the rules I've seen allow a single item to be purchased while
ignoring availability (giving each player a Wow factor, their own special
ultimate piece of kit) and I'd rather start off a Sniper with a Remington
and sleep reg than an RA SM3

Oh I'd quite like one IRL too :D

There's an excellent house rule I've seen somewhere (can't remember
where though) that's even better. The GM can choose to give the player
an "availability pool". Its points can be used to lower the
availability ratings of any number of items. For example, with an AP of
4, your character will be able to purchase either one item with an
avail. of 12, or 2 items with avail. of 10, or 4 with avail. 9, etc...
As for the sniper rifle, I totally agree with you, if only for the
fact that a Remington can be used in a regular gunfight without falling
apart. 9S semi-auto for less than 1K¥: ouch. (and it's got an internal
magazine -- very useful)

Good $Deity, which Awekened Cahracter would kill his magical abilities
with cyberware?

There is no Cyberware everyone has got to have, and such a list would be
nonsense anyways.
A better question would be, what kind of cyberware/bioware/nanoware should
a certain KIND of character have.
Reflexboosting stuff for streetsams, for example, are a "must have". And
how the augmentation is done is up to the player and GM to decide.

I would, no second thoughts about it. Whether or not to take 1 Essence
worth of cyberware is no decision at all, given the advantages you get
back for it. You suddenly go from Mr. Average to someone who can see in
the dark, can shoot straight, and moves twice as fast (well, almost) all
without any real penalties on your magical abilities.

Not just sams, IMHO.

I'm with you all the way on that. Just about every
mage I've played takes a smartlink, datajack, optical
mag (usful for zooming in on targets for
spellcasting), and some other small item or two. You
can always make up for the magic loss with a Geasa.

You perhaps mean a Gaes? You only need one per ESN loss, as I recall.

Now that's a great idea !
Thanks guy's i'm going to use it with a special twist
Depending on how much effort they put into building the caracters as a team and how well
though out the idea's are i'm going to give them an availability pool (shared or
individual not
sure witch yet , any idea's?)
