That's funny! I thought that the movie exaggerated everything. I worked at
Honeywell here in Phoenix during the time frame of that movie, and there
seemed to be a mass migration of engineers down from Minnesota. They talked
and acted that way a little bit. I laughed watching that movie remembering
some of those friends from work. One of the characters in the movie even
worked at Honeywell (the one that had a nervous breakdown - of course :=)
Anyway, the Coen bros (who made Fargo) also made a movie around '86 or so
called Raising Arizona, which takes place in my hometown here in Phoenix,
Az. That movie was hilarious, but people here don't talk how that movie
portrayed them (course many of us *started* talking that way after we dun
saw the movie). Course some of us act that way, I suppose.
