<color><param>0100,0100,0100</param>Hello All,

Last week in my game session the Troll got suprised by a Piasma.
And when I saw surprised I mean Surprised. The combat lasted
one phase and consisted of the player completly screwing up his
body roll. He took base damage (in this case 12D (The Piasma
was using his enhanced strength power after all)) and promptly
collapsed from a single deadly would. Whoops.

Now the other players managed to nail the Piasma (Rigger and a
Steel Lynx with a LMG) and stabalised the Troll. Now again rolling
to see what happened to him he manages to secure 1 success
and looses his left leg.

Now at this point it gets interesting. I make some rolls and come
to the conclusion that his Street Doc can save 13% of the leg. I
told him this this morning and 4 hours ago he came to me asking
how much a (Please don't laugh) :

Armored.......

Motorised.......

Firm point Carrying (For his Enfield AS7).......

Rigger Adapted.......

Wheelchair

would be.

So that's the question.

How mush would a wheelchair in 2057 be considering:

a) It's armored

b) Motorised

c) Its got a firm Point

d) Rigger Adapted (So the rigger can remotly jack in to when the
troll does something else daft)

e) The troll in question is 3.5m+ tall and weighs in excess of a third
of a ton.

Responses would be greatly recieved

I made a paraplegic rigger once, who had a rigged wheelchair. I used the rules
in Rigger 2 to design a drone as his wheelchair. It was electric, had a
firmpoint with a Predator in it, and could do 60kph. Pretty amusing. :) I can't
find the build cost for it right now, but I think it was about 100k. Maybe a
little less. But he was a human, so a troll chair would probably cost more.

BTW, 3.5m+?? Is this guy trying to set a Guiness Record for tallest metahuman?

In the Rigger-2 book, there is a thing called a "Sidecar". I would suggest
using that as the basis, and remember that Sidecars have a vehicular body of
2.

Ohhh, boy. You have a lunatic on your hands.
I'd start the quotes at about 50K

That's kinda hefty, even for a troll. I also recommend some Slimfast.

BTW, why would he want a wheelchair? New legs are more common, I
wouldthink, and having known people in wheelchairs and been stuck in one
while my leg bones knitted once, they are a miserable thing to be stuck in.

Actually, it's virtually emaciated for a being of that size, with the kind
of muscle and bone mass a troll would possess. I wrote an article that
wound up in TSS #9 (http://shadowrun.html.com/tss/tss/09/index.htm) talking
about this sort of thing.
