Ares for some reason forced the US Navy to turn back when they moved on
Hawaii after it declared independence. One of the more bogus historical
events IMHO.

Orbital weapons play a large role in the CP2020 Firestorm series.

EXTREMELY unlikely. despite FASAs somewhat ..odd...views on what you can and
can't do to satellites from dinky ass ground stations.
