Absolutely. Ne'er would I be one to argue with you on that point, and thus I
invoke the power of the thwap:

"OH LORD, bless this, Thy Handgrenade...oops, erroneous film quotation
selection!

Perhaps this:

"OH LORD, bless this, Thy Carp, that with it Thou mayest thwap Thine Munchkin
enemies into submission...in Thy mercy"

Would someone care to explain the carp reference? Once before ther was
mentioned a CyberCarp but I have not heard of it since. Please enlighten
me, the ignorant.

Where pray tell would a lowly and undeserving fellow like myself find,
obtian, buy a thwaping carp; I would settle for a thwoping catfish if that
is all that would be given.

Dr Doom I see has the subject of Thwaps wrapped up. But shouldn't a little
more history go into it. I'm sure the idea of being hit with carps came from
a Monty Python film, or was it trouts, anyway the trout became a carp and a
thwap appeared from somewhere, oh the film "The Quest For The Holy Grail".

Couple of vaguely remembered lines.

"Now was that an African swallow or a European one ?"

"Come back I'll bite your ankles off !"

"But it's only a rabbit"

Phill.

I think you'd find the great carp hitting contest in of the Monty Python Flying

"please,

My $.02:
For me it is the 30 gazillion page MONSTER thwaps that 10
gogozillion people post to ONE person. Plus the variety of Thwaps out

the dikoted-stealth-cyber-sword THWAP, etc. :> )

Pity. I still find that story hysterical every time I read it. How many

I actually started work on one based on Ster Trek Voyager 2 years ago...
Never did finish it, but I still remember how it was meant to go....

:)

Unfortunately, it was designed for a very specific THWAPPABLE offence, and
it's not cropped up (thankfully).

Mine are all TARRED into a very large archive of my old u5a77 account.

Disclaimer

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
