True enough, out of context. But the discussion originated from the
question of whether religions could grant sanctuary in 2060, and have it
enforceable using corp extraterritoriality as a precedent.

I was simply arguing that yes, the Catholic Church probably *does* have
the authority to get away with this; and that if the Tibetan Buddhists
choose to grant sanctuary to someone, "authority" isn't much of an issue
should anyone contest it. >8->


OBTangent: Any guesses on what role the "Heavenherds" of Tibet play in
the Big FASA Scheme of Things? They've apparently shown up in Earthdawn
*and* Shadowrun sourcebooks, but I don't have the Earthdawn reference and
the SR one (the tapped phone call in _Cybertechnology_) is pretty open.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
