We are at about the same time (early march). Did you do or are you planing
to do something about the '56 election? Or do you (or does anyone else) know
about when elections are held? Is there a month elections take place
usually? Any hints/ideas/whatever? (Answers please to shadowGM!)

Well, my (temporarily dead) campaign is running in early '55, (so's I
can fit the original Harlequin module in) so I won't have to worry about
this for a while, but the next module coming out will have a LOT of
election details in it. (Including, most likely, the winner...) It will
be called Super Tuesday, and it will be out before Gen Con most likely.

Speaking of Gen Con.... Anybody else going?

I tried to meet up with some of y'all last year, but we never quite made
it.....

Elections are held in November (unfortunatly I'm not to sure about the
exact date) the 2057 ellection might be held at a different time as it's
a special case.

The Super Tuesday book talks briefly about what happened in the '56 election:
corruption, bribery, all sorts of Watergate stuff.

My Houston based game is in June 2056. When they get back from their
current run, the big news on the trid will be about the UCAS decision that
allowed them to tax Dunky's pile o' loot, and will allow him to run in
2057. A few weeks ago, their rumor sheets talked about the election,
and how it was likely to be a pretty boring race. Over the rest of the
year, I'll include all kinds of election gossip, so that when the scandal
hits in '57,they'll be well grounded. I purposefully keep my game behind
the timeline about a year so I can foreshadow what's to come.

Super Thuesday is out. It's great, but since it covers the _2057_ re-
election, I would like to involve the _2056_ normal elections in my
campaign. Not with runs (hey... the '56 election is called the "dullest
election of the 21st century"), but as pure background.
