Clarifications of the campaign:
The character was born far enough down the line that she will not
be encountering "herself". The background is that her mother was a 'runner
about this time, who didn't give birth to her until after "retiring" as
much as runners can retire ~2075 (20 years of campaigning). Additionally, the
previous campaign took place in Seattle (and other places, on occasion). Mine
is in Bangkok, drastically lowering the chance of encountering her mother
or anyone else she might know.
Furthermore, this is not back&forth time travel:She was accidentally
transported back, has no inkling as to how temporal transportation is
achieved, and has no device that lets her return. We call it the "Skynet
Special" (ala Terminator). You go back and have *nothing* but your body. . .
not even the clothes on your back. It's one-way.
Also, given the nature of the background (secret lab, etc) there are
no time cops. . .yet. Though I suppose they might arrive from a time when
temporal manipulation was far more feasible. . .But that's left open for
later adventures.
