Well I am a Floridian (sez so on my driver's licence), but I'm from
the Gulf Coast. I am however a rabid space freak, and my greatest
memories so far of being a Coastie (US Coast Guard) is the five times
I've done Shuttle Launch security. Truly awesome (in the true meaning
of awesome) to see it claw it's way through the night sky, turning night
to day, all in perfect silence... for 30 seconds. Then the noise finally

reaches you, 6 miles away, and it's still so intense the ship vibrates.
I've grabbed every book I can get my hands on that was written by an
astronaut, and I'm slowly saving so that one day I can buy an original
Alan Bean painting, the only artist in the world who uses real moondust,
and works his canvas with the tools he used on the moon. Right now
they sell for about 20,000 a pop and upwards. This time a print just
won't cut it. I want a piece of the moon, even if it takes me years.

Oohh, that might be a good run, an art heist. Where you don't DARE
damage the goods. Not even a tiny scrape. This is a job for the
Hudson Hawk! Time it to a song and don't forget the cappachino.

Ah apologies, I failed to elaborate. Yes I am Floridian.
Am also active duty military (currently stuck in Puerto Rico,
where they think the only RPG is DnD, and can barely find
any of those products, to say nothing of fellow gamers. I
know of only one on the base so far, and two does not a
good game make.) Last duty station was in Houston, which
is why I know both the Cowboy and his cookie munching
sidekick Bandit. Plus it's got the Johnson Space center...
which is why I went there. Of course my favorite character
was Daytona, mostly because she was the only normal
person I ever played. On a group astral quest, where in
the beginning your worst secret is revealed to everyone,
we had a Undercover Tir Ghost revealed to the runners,
the fact that someone's previous astral quest was a murder
mission, and that Daytona had slept with the captian of her
high school football team on the first date. She was utterly
embarrased, and asked them not to tell. (Mind you
she's now in her twenties... but don't y'all tell mah daddy!)

Megacon hmmm do my best when is it? maybe one of these days we can meet
at sci-fi city thats down your way isn't it granite I've got family in
orlando....Hmmmmmm....This could certainly work out
