]What if we compile a NET.BOOK called, as the subject says, The Tome of the
]Second Awakening (or maybe some other name). What this is is all of our
]unnofficial (non-tech) rules and ideas. Our new races. New spells. New
]spell casting ideas. New Totems. New whatever.

I'm not quite sure what the nettiquette for a Net.book is, but here are a
couple suggestions:

1) Invite Rec.games.frp.misc to at least send info (I personally don't want
this to become another rec.games.frp.misc... call me elitist, but this is a
fairly decent list, and I don't want it going down in flames).

2) PLAYTEST THIS! I know that there are _plenty_ of munchkins who would LOVE
to get ahold of this thing, to take any holes and pervert them. Let's keep
them from doing so, eh?

3) Let's set up some guidelines for what can be accepted. And NO MUNCHKINISM!
I've seen enough of it on this list (no offense to those of you who don't) to
know that we're bound to get some of it.... it's like the Voodoo thing in
Challenge: Just DON'T allow it. Let's keep this thing so that it won't
unbalance the game too much, 'kay?

Ack! Not r.g.f.m. They tend to universally hate Shadowrun. r.g.f.cyber
would probably be a more receptive audience since at least 50% of the
discussions are SR related.

Two words. NO SHIT!

Actually, the first step to just to GET stuff. Quantity over quality
initially. Then, afer a month or so of collecting, we go through and
determine what is proper for the final product.

Random Thought:

All programmers are optimists. Perhaps this modern sorcery especially attracts
those who believe in happy endings and fairy godmothers. Perhaps the hundreds
of nitty frustrations drive away all but those who habitually focus on the end
goal. Perhaps it is merely that computers are young, programmers are younger,
and the young are always optimists. But however the selection process works,
the result is indisputable: "This time it will surely run," or "I just
found
the last bug."
