Hiya folks, this is me...got a couple of quick questions...

A) I tried to get to Paolo's archive sight for some web ideas and when I
went (or tried to go) beyond the intro page, nothing loaded...all the URL's,
except for links to Wigs' stuff, was not working for me? What's Up?

B) To Lady Jestyr, can you please send me a quick address as to what
criteria must be met in order to join the "Webring" group? Hoosier Hacker
House is building, with most of the index pages doing their thing (unlike some
other nameless groups, we are trying to build an index as a guideline first,
then fill in the material). Remaining material is forthcoming.

C) Tinner, I have some stuff for your "who's who" page...in order to update
my little mug shot. Are you interested? I noticed you haven't changed the
page much in a while, that's why I'm asking.

D) I could not get the java applet to work for the ww.shadowland.org
site...anyone have any ideas why not?

E) Didn't FASA have an "art page" at one time? I have looked around a bit,
but found nothing. Anyone know what's up?

F) I really like the "counter" for the webring, LadyJ (or anyone else),
where could I get a copy?

G) Jon, what did you think of "the Idaho" entry on the vehicle list or have
you had time to look at it yet?

H) Steve (and Jon for that matter)...do you guys have web sites (or anyone
else's site for that matter). I would like to make some links to sites, but
don't like to do so without anyone's permission.

I also wish to thank literally everyone on the RN list of late, as I've been
trying to peruse what seems like dozens of web pages for SR stuff and ideas.
Gurth, Max and Bull have been big helps, even if they don't realize it.

I finally decided I'm going to get a digital camera with my tax check,
probably the Mavica (the one that saves straight to the disk). Anyone know of
others that are good suggestions? A flatbed scanner is the next option...of
course, the 7 or 9 gig hard drive is probably en-route within a month also.

Hmmm... I know there were a few probs with the connection yesterday, I
think... (Adam and Paolo were talking about it on IRC, but I'm not
positive of the details...). Try again tonight or tomorrow... Hopefully
everything will be fixed then (Or shortly after Adam or Paolo see this. ) :]

Unless LJ has changed things since I joined (WAAAAYYYY back when she
started it), but the main criteria was that the web site had to be SR
related, and had to have some kind of Unique or new SR stuff. In other
words, something more than a few pictures downloaded from FASA's page and a
"Shadowrun is really cool" thing...

<shrug>

But then, I'll let her plug this :]

He'll take it, but he is a Shaman following the Sloth Totem. His web page
gets updated about as often as mine :]

I'm replying to this on the whole list, since I figure it may well be
useful for other people.

Okay. First criterion: Your page has to have original stuff on it.
Second criterion: It has to *not* contravene FASA's copyright. Oh, using
the "Shadowrun" logo as a header is probably alright (though REALLY
hackneyed), but no direct copies of stuff that people would otherwise
have to buy a sourcebook for. Third criterion: It has to not suck. :)
Other than that, the intructions for joining are on the page and are
pretty straightforward.

It's the standard Geocities counter - if you're a Geocities member you
can use it free.

And what a kind spirit you are....(grin)

Okay, that's not a problem...

Hmm...I think this is fine...quoting from a sourcebook, for reference
purposes..what's the rules/laws on that???

Definie 'Suck'...is the information cool? We think so, as do a couple others
that have seen snippets of it...is it munchkinish or powergamerish...well,
we've since discovered that anything that isn't "in the books" and is new or
"untested territory" is considered munchkinish or powergamerish or both, so
we'll have to stand trial for that later...

Ah, please note the goofy address of mine...going to have to go find one
within AOL I guess..the one I have now froze at 50 and does other things
too...

oh yeah, for those people who want to see the preview pages and the initial
guide steps (which ain't much I admit)...

please note, there is no "l" after the "htm"....

Itty bitty quotes (a paragraph or so) for the purposes of
reference/illustration is fine by me (though I'm not sure what copyright
rules say), but I've had some submissions which had compiled weapons
tables and the like.

No... you should see some of the lame-o submissions I get. "Not sucking"
means the page looks decent, that there aren't too many typos, that you
can SPELL! (pet peeve of mine), and that you have more than one item
(i.e. the details of your character, blah blah blah) up on your page.

From the sounds of it, *you* should be fine. :)
