Well, looks like i started something.
Troll sport!
exploding troll frisbee, and then nightfox's troll demolishing
things .

Perfect for Public access sr VID.
wanta stay up till 4 am watching trolls in gold lame' shorts
punching old apartment blocks? 'Art Terrorist' trolls picking up
peaples cars and balancing them on other cars as a form of
social comment?

On a serious note, what happened to the Olympics when
goblinisation happened? do you have mixed race races? (if you
get my syntax) Do trolls and elves race side by side (Not a fair
race)
Or do they have race specific events? The Troll shotput. The
Elven 5000m etc?

In all fairness they would require, different events. Or do they
hold their own olympics?

It's not just goblinisation, are there magical events in the olympics?
Just think how many unfair advantages could be gained by
magic/cyberware. How difficult would these be to detect? or hide?

With corps replacing governments, would they still only compete as
countries or could a Megacorp put forward a team?

Judging from what I have read in Prime Runners about that troll
quarterback/whatever (sorry no american football fan) it seems that
there is no such thing. In the aforementioned trolls team he plays
side by side with an elven (insert position here). The troll is there
to beat the opponents up and the elf is there to run like hell. So
I think that some sports/positions will tend to be dominated by
some metatypes, like trolls for centers/power-forwards in basketball
elves for small-forwards/guards etc. rather than organise separate
matches/olympics or ban certain metatypes.

Judging again from what I saw in Prime Runners (the guy had bioware and
cyberware) I guess that professional teams/leagues will allow their
players both cyber and magicall advantages in order to make the game
more spectacular. But I dont think that this would be tolerated in the
olympics.

Well, at the 2052 Tokyo Olympics, they didn't even HAVE metahumans.

In other events, see ShadowBeat for an analysis. I'd have to check to be
certain, but I think athletic events (track & field, swimming) went
split-race, the same way they are split gender, while skill events
(shooting, for example) are mixed, and team events tend to be mixed. BTW,
Tir Tairngire KILL in basketball. :)

For what its worth, in NAGM, they remark on Physical Adepts in the sporting
leagues, and how some are able to "sneak" in. Apparently the fans feel known
PAs have an unfair advantage compared to other players. Not sure how cyberware
might fit in but I would assume magic is similarly frowned upon.

NAGM even goes so far to discuss how PAs can slip in as someone assensing
astrally might have a difficult time discerning what is the adept's natural
ability and what is enhanced by magic.

Maybe some pirate network would see viewers in this sort of trid. Dress up a
bunch of BIG trolls in combat gear and let them take out their frustrations
on corp-owned or government-owned buildings...

If you're an initiate physad with Masking ability, I bet you could sneak in
past most mages that check out the athletes prior to the games. I don't
think many of them would be initiates.

OTH, if you win big time, then they might give a bit closer scrutiny (SOME
are bound to be initiates), the way the winners now get tested for
steriods.
