1) the astral you goes unconcious
2) The real you takes enough stun damage to go unconcious

?!?!?! (If these are stupid questions please explain why.. heck for
all I know its impossible for #1 to happen)

Thanx :)

We play it that if the astrally projecting mage/shaman dies astrally then
they still are active until their time in astral space runs out, but if
they go unconscious from stun then they are thrown back to their body
immediately. This may be incorrect, but we finds that it adds to the
role-playing possibilities. Ghosts trying to avenge their death in the
brief time they have before they die, and the street sammy chummer slamming
his mage pal unconscious because it looks like he's getting the drek kicked
out of him astrally, etc....

a) SRII, p. 148: "When a magician casts spells in astral space, Drain always
causes Physical damage, regardless of the spell's Force rating."
b) (and here it shows it _is_ possible to go unconscious in Astral Space)
SRII, p. 147: "Astral damage can be Physical or Stun at the choice of the
character inflicting it."
I think the magician better hopes he awakes _before_ his Essence runs out...
(See SRII, p. 146: "The physical body [of a projecting magician] loses 1 point
of Essence for every hour the magician is astrally gallivanting. If the
Essence falls below 0, the magician dies.")

> 2) The real you takes enough stun damage to go unconcious
Hm, the physical body of a projecting magician _is_ already unconscious, well,
really comatose. There are two things to consider when applying
additional damage:
a) SRII, p. 147: "Almost any wound to the comatose form will drive it into
fatal shock."
b) SRII, p. 147: "Because of the occult phenomenon of "repercussion," the
physical body manifests the damage. That means if a magician is wounded in
astral space, the physical body is wounded at the same moment."

I suppose a) means the projecting character dies, since he suffers enough stun
wounds to "trigger" the "fatal shock".
If you decide against this rule, I'd make the "repercussion" a two-way effect:
Any wound to the physical body of a projecting magician will show on his
astral image, too.

Thought so, too, have proven myself wrong... (I hate it when I am cleverer
then myself! :-( )

No prob, chummer.

YOu get shunted back to your body, whic manifests the bruises you took in
Astral space. It's prety hard to do stun damage in Astral space though.

It CAN happen; If you get hit with a stun-bolt in Astral space, you take
stun damage. We did that to a mage who was after us once. Apparently
though, stun bolt leaves marks so sleep would've been a better spell to
use.
(He was a corp mage who got alerted to ours teams presence by an
elemental; We didn't want any of his pals to get suspicious)

You get shunted back to your body again.
Though a really evil GM could state that it breaks your astral link, and
you wander as a ghost until your body regenerates the stun damage down to
a serious when you're meant to wake up.
