Amway is an American business that sells substandard merchandise at retail
prices. They tempt normal people with visions of six-figure salaries and
a utopian society in which only those who distribute their product will be
able to participate in. It is run by these people, who distribute this junk
from their houses, go out and recruit more people and perpetuate the whole
thing.

Basically it's a more suburban version of the Hare Krishnas.
