Hey by 2060, 60 years-old will likely be middle aged.

Congrats on the new addition.

Congratulations... however, I do think it bespeaks a serious personal
dysfunction that you told a role-playing e-mail group before you told your
family. ;-)

Err.. I think the serious personal dysfunction is telling a bunch of family
members that are likely to have a giant bunch of conflicting opinions about
how the baby should be raised.

Better to tell some people who are going to say "Cool, rock on!" (And one
wise ass that will surely ask "Are you sure it's yours?" :) ), and let the
family know and bicker about it later...

Remember, black leather clothes, sunglasses and a long coat are so much
cooler than blue or pink fluffy bunny clothes.

Yeah, just be glad you're getting to avoid the "when are you getting
married" speech... most of the grandparent neuroses go to my older brother,
but I think they want one of us as a back-up.

Example: I tried to prank call my mother several years ago, and tell her I
had gotten someone pregnant. She automatically assumed that my older
brother had called me to tell me that he and my sister-in-law were having a
baby, but that they hadn't told her. I kid you not.

Actually, they live 2 hours away, so we're going to tell them this weekend

The sad thing is, this is going to make me come up with a list of
sex-related gaming metaphors...

"Hey, look who rolled well on the random encounter table."

"Wow, pregnant? Guess someone rolled a critical hit last month, eh?"

"Ouch, man... you couldn't have rolled lower than an 18 on that reaction
roll..."

Sure, most of them are D&D, but can _you_ think of a game that seems more
suited to lines that seem to come from '70's pornos?

I think getting into the hand of god rule would be kinda rude here... so
I'll stop. ;)

Seriously... Gratz to all the baby makin' folks out there. I've not done

Hey, when I was 18, my daughter was almost two already. :-)

I'll be 35 when she graduates from high school.
