I've got a player interested in becoming an Urban Brawl player. I've read
the rules and blurb on Urban Brawl on Big Knobi Klub, just wondering has
anyone incorporated Urban Brawl into their games to any degree and with what
effects.

I'm not intending on running full length UB games in my SR games, but just
having the odd reference now and then, just toying with the idea.

Lastly, would you have tryouts like for football? Or would you just have to
have know someone to get involved, (or have a criminal record).

Only through "A Killing Glare", the problem of course is going to be the
same as with any form of fame, people recognise you, it's quite scary how
quickly the FBI or corporate security will be down on your head if you have
paperazzi following you on 'runs.

Urban Brawl is a team game "just like football" (apart from the guns and the
bikes and killing the entire opposing team being a valid way of winning)
There is no mention that any of the teams look for criminals, it'd be bad
for the business image.

Although BKK are useful I would suggest you get hold of "Shadowbeat", and if
you can spare the cash "A Killing Glare" as well. I would suggest you get
your player to think about all of the things an "Evil GM™" could do to him
and if he still wants to be playing in the leagues and 'running at the same
time I suggest you complicate his or her life with as many newshounds,
paternity cases (or faked nude pictures from whe she was young and
impressionable, "romance" stories...etc) as your twisted mind can stand.

My gm damion made me take a day job flaw, coach was a
bastard, abused me every time I didn't turn up to
training, before a big playoff I was required to train
every day for a week or so (usually in middle run or
when I was required to run,no excuses, bastard of a
coach), for every day I missed I was s'posed to make
up for It, had to do rules testes/theory (skill test),
Played for seattle screamers, blaster, ended up getting
sacked, coach got killed, re-instated under new
contract where I could run when felt like as new coach
knew what my real job entailed & could appreciate
that. (each game I play I role a attribute or relevent
skill, If I use the same attribute or skill against
same or different opponent they got a bonus as they
new what game I previously played, e.g.used heavy
weapons skill a 2nd time in a season,my opponents
target number decrease from watching me play same
tactics last game.consult "milko" as to where he got
this ingenious idea for urban brawling on fly. (GZ)
