A player of mine recetly asked me what the used vehicle market was like in
Shadowrun. After having a laugh about how there couldn't be any used
vehicles, what with the amount of damage this guy goes around causing, I
seriously started to think about it. Are there rules set in place for this?
I figured he could get a used four-door econobox Americar knock-off for
about half the price, but it would have a few stress points. The question is
how many, and should I tell him about it?

I dont have my books at hand, but I think it is mentioned in Rigger3
somewhere. If not, then how about rolling a dice and apply that number to
the used car?

There's a Quality Factor for it someplace in R3. It basically gives the
vehicle hidden stress points. The owner doesn't know where they are until
they actually manifest as problems.

The only real rule for this is in the vehicle quality factors from Rigger
3, where you can choose to have a second-hand vehicle for 40% of the base
price.
