hey, i don't know if anyone else has mentioned it yet, but what
were your opinions on the "drone" that they had in the "Viper"
tv series movie...or for that matter the car...

also, does anyone know when the "TekWars" show is supposed to
start and on what network???

That show looked strikingly similar to some show NBC had on a while ago?
Knight Rider maybe? Nahhhhh.

The following is from a radio show on WLS in Chicago:

<These are the words of the host>
Ok, I can just see this meeting of the NBC board. One guys stands up and says
"Hey, I know! We can have a show about a car...that talks!"
Another guys stands up and says "Nah, we already tried that with Knight Rider
a couple of years ago."
The first guy says "No! This is different! It's a different car, you see!"
Every other member of the board says "Yeah, good idea!"

<Not exact, but close enough :))

*grin*

It's a cross between SuperForce, Street Hawk, and Airwolf, with shades of
Knight Rider, The Destroyer, and Speed Racer.

Personally, I thought the pilot stank.

I thought the first..oh..say fifteen minutes or so reminded me a whole
lot about a certain role play game we all fancy.
overall I liked it even though the show was a little light on story and
they blew up the girlfriend..I think the things they are doing with
compu-graphics is GREAT. As for the drone cool , BUT without some MAJOR
batteries there is no way that little guy would last flying around for
more than around 20 min or so [course that should be more than enough for
its intended purpose]
I liked the show and have it on tape and I'm going to tape it this friday
too.

All I know is that is suposed to start this month SOME TIME.

Oh yea, there are shades of Knight Rider in the show but at least the car
can be damaged unlike KIT and his impervious bodyarmor. And did you get a
load of the nifty BatCave??

Crazy! NBC called me to review Viper for them. One of those
Nelson-like systems or random telephone # setups. Anyone
who wants their voices heard by NBC let me know and I will
pass on your opinions. They will be calling me Saturday
at about 1 pm Indiana time..

Best part is I just initiate a research proposal on the
detrimiental impact of entertainment television on the
problem recognition phase of public policy formation. Boy
will I give'em a mouthful just for the fun of it....

Tell them the show is great. Even though it needs help, Sci-Fi shows
have a tendency to be killed outright, and I'd rather they kept a
semi-good one around than none at all. And a sci-fi show being liked
might spawn more sci-fi shows being brought online.

I give it 1 season max. It's on in the "death slot" (Friday night).

Yea, Tell them to keep up the good work and don't go trying to go head to
head with ST:TNG or ST:DS9 or SEAQUEST:DSV for that matter not even
BABYLON 5 or TEKWARS - Going head to head only messes things up so good
programming gets squashed
