Is there a such thing as xray vision? I know xray car canser causing, but in
2050 have they curred canser, and if not, what materials do block the rays
other than lead. Also if a mage had a xray goggles (like ultra sound gogles),
whould seeing though walls be a direct line of sight? whould he be able to
put them to sleep?

Please help!

There's an X-Ray Vision spell in Awakenings which can count for LOS.

I think they may have cures for some types of cancers (they are getting
close to a cure for certain forms of skin cancer, for instance), but I
doubt they've actually cured all types of cancer.

All things block x-rays to some extent, some are just more transparent
than others (like skin vs bone). Lead works because it is very dense, so
it blocks the radiation well. The less dense the material, the more
transparent to x-rays it is.

Doubtful, since LOS in astral space seems to be based on LOS in the
visible spectrum. I don't believe you'd be able to see the target's aura.

The problem with Xray vision is that you have to something for the xrays
to burn into on the other side of your target. Xrays don't bounce off
objects but are absorbed by them, so it's impossible to use a goggle setup
to view xray images in this fashion.
The X-ray vision spell, however, has more of an "it's F.M." explanation.
I
don't have awakenings so I don't know how the spell is worded but I imagine
that the name is more of a common term for easy reference than an actual
description of how the spell works.

Have I paid my dues? Yes sir the check is in the mail.

Okay, two different ways to approach this,

One, using Ultrasound googles does not give LOS with something on the other
side of a wall or something, it would just let you know something was there.

Two, using something akin to Superman's X-ray vision, I would say that LOS
would apply, but it would probably be easier to use Clairvoyance than to
create something that can look through walls (target number of 4 versus a
target number equal to the Object Resistance of the Wall).

It is. Someone basically made a spell to duplicate Superman's X-Ray Vision
or something. It allows you to see through solid objects - just don't cast an
DMs or you will regret it. =)
