Subject: VR2.0 Erratum?
Date: Tue, 4 Feb 1997 09:43:24 +1100
I was scanning through VR2.0 last night while making up a decker
character, and I noticed a problem. On page 40, in the IC section, it
says "First, deckers may use the stealth option with attack programs..."

However, in the section about utility options, it doesn't list stealth,
and I can't find it anywhere else in the book! Any thoughts?

I think this is a minor typo. The option they're referring to is the Skulk
option which reduces them amount the security tally when IC is crashed and not
supressed. They probably just changed the name in one part of the book and
not another.

Yeah, that's cool. I just saw it then.

Well, I figure Stealth sounds better, so I'm going to call it that. :)

I haven't gotten to VR2.0 yet (it's in the stack somewhere,) but I
remember when Paul was starting on it. One of the ideas that was
kicked around was that of a 'posture' or mode (stealth, attack, etc.)
That could be the reference.
