Okay, my subject title is my
disclaimer/screamer/warning/see-I-told-you-so. And now onto business.

NO, I am not going to give away what happens in Harlequi's Back. But
there is information that I thought might be crucial to a number of the
discussions we have had here. This is primarliy for those people who
can't simply wait to get HB, and especially for those who cannot
currently afford the book (it's $16 for about 150pages!). It has a
lot of hints and out and out info on stuff we have been talking
about. Now, if you don't want to know any of this, then delete this
message...NOW!

Okay, were safe now Billy...

1) The Insects, or Invae, are NOT the Horrors. They are true spirits,
while the Horrors, or the Enemy as Harlequin calls them, are more
physical beings. Harlequin says so on pg.21. He even calls them just a
pesky nuisance...

2) The Enemy (the Horrors) were not supposed to come until another 2000
years or so. Hell, the Insects weren't supposed to come for another 200
years of so. But the Great Ghost Dance created such a huge spike in the
magic, that in accelrated things more than just a tad bit. p 19 & 21.

3) Some elves are immortal. Ehran is, Harlequin is, even Jane "Frosty"
Foster is, but she doesn't know it. They even say that Harlequin is more
than 7000 years old! The way things are worder however, leads me to
believe that not all elves are immortal. Just certain special ones with
a special gene. Hell, maybe other races with thisw gene could be
immortal too, but nothing of that kind is said.

4) THere are "Gods" of some kind or other. Even the Dweller on the
Threshold has to let all the characters pass through, even if they fail
there test. "Fate" is mentioned rather liberaly...

5) There is obviously magic FAR more powerful than is currently available
to any of our charcters. Just the stuff that Harlequin does is enough
proof of that...

6) The Enemy (the Horrors) are not a guaranteed part of the SR world from
now on. At the end, where FASA explains (sort of) what the hell just
happened, they say as much, and say that they want the players of SR to
decide what will happen. They provide a mailing address (snail mail) so
people can do so. Cool, eh?

That's about it. The whole damn 150pg adventure just kicks ass. It is
what EVERY adventure/module should be like. You even get to fight the
Horrors! And it is one hell of a karma haul!
