Heres something ive been thinking about changing in my game.
instead of staging damage up a level per each two successes. why not stage
it up one
box for each success this reduces the deadlyness of the game some. And also
makes for a
more varied level of damage
Basicly this would work something like this.
I shoot a corp guard with an Ares predator 9m using my firearms 4 and 4
combat pool dice. against a tr:4 making 5 successes for a damage of 2 below
dead.
The guard rolls 4 body dice+threat rating 2 and is wearing an Armor jacket
and makes three successes and the damage drops to one below Serious.

Also when using Immunity to normal weapons do you make the power as Hardened
armor.
If the power of the attack is lower it does no damage, or as soft armor
meaning it reduces the Tr needed to resist the powers damage.Me myself i use
the power as soft armor with a normal spirit or Elemental but hardened with
a greater form (i feel that being able to cross boundiarys and call up a
minor storm isnt enough to make these greater forms interesting:).

This would make Light and Medium damaging weapons less
lethal, but Serious and Deadly damaging weapons more
lethal.

In the case of low damage weapons it would be pretty hard
to stage the damage up enough to take someone out. But in
the case of high damage weapons, it's pretty hard for the
target to lower the damage (in the case of a Deadly wound
the target would need 10+ successes on his damage
resistance test to avoid damage, whereas with the current
rules he would only need 8+ successes).

And if you use this for overflow damage also (Deadly+),
it's very easy to kill a character.

As long as your comfortable with it, go for it :)
