IMHO, the best gaming page out there now is Steve Jackson Games. They have
details about every single game they make or have made. You can order the
books online. They have timely errata posted. Every month they post which
games are going to be out, and before that exactly when they are going to
the printers. Every day Steve or one of his minions posts something up
there, even if its just a few lines about what is going on there or some
cool web page that people would like.

They also have a good house magazine, Pyramid, that they use to float new
articles about their games and others. Its updated once a week, and usually
has at least a few interesting articles every time. And if you subscribe,
you're also given immediate access to the playtest files and a forum on
which to discuss them. And they use the money that they get for a
subscription ($15 a year), along with auctions of cool stuff lying around
the offices, to run the whole thing.

Why can't FASA take some of that Microsoft money they got and use it to get
even half way towards what SJGames has?

Okay, take it easy. I do agree with you on just about all of your points.
Although I'm not sure if the problem is that they don't care or don't
understand (still) ho much extra goodwill and (possibly) revenue through a
web presence. What I would like to do is try to refer them to companies
that HAVE done a good job and give them the hint that they might want to
try to emulate those companies.
