This argument gets redone alot. The were's in the companion
were horrid in most people's opinion, and most of us had
house rules for them beforehand anyway.
Most creatures were left out of SR3, and should appear as
a nice insert to the GM's screen 3rd edition, which is due
out in the next month or so.
As for the Companion's status in 3rd edition.....
Tobias & Barbie and several others have main PC's
who are were, and are a good source of ideas and opinions. :)
