Okay folks, I'm gonna make this announcement because I need more feedback
than the few people I've spoken directly with.

http://members.aol.com/hhackerh/index.html

If you'll note closely for those of you who frequent the site, this address
is different. I'm in the process of cleaning everything out, and I'm over
half-way done (technologies, group pics, and Worldview are all that is left
for the most part) and things are seeming to run so much better than they did.

Let me know what everyone thinks please.

What's weirder is that now it works fine for me too. Ah well.

Well, other than your hoster, [AOL? K, what were you *thinking*?] I found a
lot of the information to be useful and well-thought out. Sorry, I don't
have any critisism, constructive or not. I know how infuriating it is when
no one has suggestions for improvement. Sorry.

However, the most important fact I picked up was that Robert Boyle, MikeM's
right-hand man, is an Einsturzende Neubauten fan! There's hope yet to be
found.

I may have been responsible for the "winking" effect. I was piling *TONS* of
hours into HHH last week, and even after I made the announcement, I was
*still* working on it. If I was uploading at the time of your initial test,
it would have failed.

If this is the case (shrug: who knows)...I apologize.

really enjoy it ("What? A SR version of Indiana Jones?Blasphemy!!!!!")

Typo. That should read "Spirit attacks (not special abilities, just
standard attacks) ..."

Life is like a Wankel Engine. In between the emptiness of boredom and
despair, and the compression of stress in one's life, there's that one
spark of enjoyment that keeps you going.

Lately, which is to say within the last decade or so, they've begun to do
adaptations of classical works, both as a band and as solo projects. Der
Hamletmaschine and Faustmusik are both excellent, both done by the band as a
whole. Radio Inferno, by now-departed percussionist F.M. Einheit, stands,
still, as my favorite piece of music. Period. Bar none.

Members of Neubauten have worked with artists from Nick Cave to Meritt
Becker--was actually married one of the band members--to Page Hamilton,
legendary Helmet band member and general [talented] wierdo.

You should give some of their material a listen, particularly the older
albums, which contain more of the factory and machine noises that make my
life so fulfilling. Try "Drawings of a Patient O.T.," "1/2 Mensch," or
"Stratagies Against Architecture," Volumes One or Two.

The two latest albums, Ende Neu and Tabula Rasa, while excellent, are not as
literally industrial. They represent a little maturity and growth within the
band, and reflect some of the personal and personnel changes Einsturzende
Neubauten have undergone. While both are enjoyable to listen to, and
masterful examples of music, they do not carry the raw, visceral punch of
the earlier works.

I think that about sums it up. There are various sources on the web that can
give you more information if you'd like to find it; and, of course, I am
certainly available to answer questions about the band.

If you go back a few stories in chapter 5, I think that Feron is the
ancient dwarf (with the nasty fingernails and hair) that they found behind
a wall. I'm guessing that he's supposed to be the guardian of the city, and
knows how it works.

If you read all of Chapter 5
