To whoever is running this Edgerunners compilation, could you
explain to everyone (once again I suppose) what your doing, so
that we can contribute? Is this a compilation of famous characters
that you're collecting and publishing?
Are you sending it out be email, or digest?
What are submission deadlines, standards, and other information.

Thanks.

By the way, it is Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid, it just feels
strange because mongoloid used to be a pseudo-scientific term for
retards; an insult really. Or you can simply use Black, White, Red,
Yellow and Brown, to be simplistic.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure someone will) but someone was
earlier reffering to these terms as possible aspects of the "scientific"
name; the example used was a black elf; is he homo sapiens nobilis, or
does the "black" part fit in somewhere?

Well, no, the "race" part doesn't fit in anywhere into the scientific
name, because it's not (taxonomically speaking) a big enough difference
to warrant a whole separate subspecies. Elves and dwarves, I can see
deserving a separate classification, but wanting to put the race of
a human being into their scientific name is about the same as wanting
to put the breed of dog into the scientific name of the dog. It's
just _Canis familiaris_, not _C.f. dobermanii_. At least this was the
explanation given in my Animal Diversity class... The different "races"
of humans are just so closely related (despite different appearances)
that there's no qualification for separate classification.

Heck, if we just went by appearances, everyone's so different looking
from everyone else we'd have a different classification for each
familly... :) :) :) <-- please note smileys
