It's one of the largest game conventions in the US, held from 6
through 9 August this year in Milwaukee. It originally stood for
Geneva Convention (because it was first held in Geneva,
Wisconsin (sp?), USA, about 25 or 30 years ago), then got moved
to Milwaukee and the name doens't really stand for anything
anymore, AFAIK.
