I believe I am one of two people in my town who buy Shadowrun stuff.
I know this bcause the game store people have told me, and I game with the
other buyer.

Thus, I have to special order all the stuff I want.

Is anyone else in similar situations?

Back when I first started gaming (early 1982), there were no stores that sold
any sort of D&D products anywhere nearby. So we had to drive 100 miles down to
New York City (where I live now ironically enough) to find anything.
So yeah, I been in that boat before. Ah... The things we do for our
passions/obsessions.

Peace.

At a guess, I live about 80 km away from the closest game store (that is
pretty far for many non-Americans, BTW :) so I mail-order nearly
everything I need from the UK; all in all it's even cheaper for me that
way, because otherwise I'd have to buy a train ticket, spend several hours
travelling, and then pay more for a book than the UK cost + postage comes
to... However I do wish the pound's value would go down :)

To the best of my knowledge there is no one playing Shadowrun in the area,
except for me and the people I game with... I like to think I've got one
of the two SRTCG decks in the area, though again I can't be sure because
nobody here seems to be willing to admit they're gamers :(
