Humph! That was my idea!! :-)
Seriously though, my thoughts went in the same lines. In the first
decade of the new century, things started to look bad, with Pentex
corporation running amok buying up land and polluting it, Banality rising
to new heights as the imminent Technocracy ascension enforced the coming
Winter, and great political turbulence made some believe that Gehenna was
near. However, the Technocracy was growing lax, with the Pogrom almost won
by late '90s, and instead started with infighting, the Syndicate gunning
for more power and turning on the NWO to get it. In the midst of all this
ruckus, the Marauders, with the help from a few Great Dragons, made an
attack at the Gauntlet at the 24th of December, 2011, a date predestined
for great changes (the favourable date was the balance that enabled them
to make it). The Great Winter never came, and Glamour washed over the
tellurian. The next decades, the Technocracy was busy trying to mend
things, largely with the aim at confining the damage, as they knew it
would be difficult to make things again what they once were.

So, where does this put the games? V:tM is almost the same, with
the exception that the Masquerade is not enforced as heavily anymore,
especially as the Technocracy has "rationally explained" vampirism.
Perhaps this will lower the power level of vampires?
W:tA will be a much lighter game, with the war now swinging in the
other direction - Amazonia is a great success! This will surely make
relations between all Were Nations more amicable, though tribe relations
within the Garou may have flared up a bit. Especially prescient Theurges
may be predicting the coming Scourge, and generally working against
Aztechnology (a Nephandi-Syndicate joint venture).
M:tA is a tricky question. The Traditions will probably still be
at a low since the Pogrom - however, the abundance of Hedge Magicians (the
"normal" magicians in SR) makes for easy initiation. Marauders are
everywhere, and Nephandi are growing steadily. The static reality has once
more been enforced, although more loosely, confining the powers of Magick.
W:tO is a complete blank for me. I have never played the game, and
probably will not in a year or so, since the person in my group that
picked up the game is a very sporadic GM (*sigh*). However, I think they
have no major impact on the real world, and haven't played anything more
than a peripheral role here. I may be out on a limb here, so you can check
me if you want, but don't spoil too much, please. :-)
C:tD has undergone some major changes. The bridge to Arcadia is
open sporadically, but the land itself has been completely overrun by
darkness (perhaps scouts for the coming Scourge), and a great war is being
fought. Many of the changeling have been enlisted in this war, leaving
earth with nothing but a small fey population. The Tirs work to change the
world from within to drive the darkness away through great conspiracies,
but are currently at odds. The metahumans are Progenitor experiments
concieved early in the century to rationalize the Changeling upswing that
since has taken on a life on their own, though largely independent of the
true fey.

Well, that's some of my ideas. Comments, please!
