Sorry for the Subject line... it couldn't be helped...:]

Anyways... This whole thread reminded me of an idea that me and Tinner
started kicking around last year, when we started playing SR with all these
new kids who were clueless about the world, let alone how to act... Many
Munchkins Died to bring you this Info...;]

Anyways, here's the idea: The Players Guide to Shadowrun, aka Newbie's
Survival Manual.

Basically the book would be broken up into two parts. the first would be a
typical shadowland posting, with a bunch of the oldtimers offering up
advice and war stories for the newer runners to help them survive, and to
teach them some manners...:]

The second would be a Short run down of the SR world... An overview of a
few of the things talked about in the various sourcebooks, as well as a
good overview of the different general character types (Muscle, Magic,
Matrix, and Motor-vehicles... the 4 M's:)). Also, it would give some Role
Playing advice, include a more detailed 20 Questions (Like 50+ Questions?
:)), and be helpful for a newbie to RPG's in general, or just to the World
of Shadowrun...

That's a real brief concept idea... What do you guys think?

This sounds like a really good, and much-needed, idea to me. I for one
would be happy to contribute to it if (when?) you get it organized.

But wouldn't it be a bit big by the time you include 200+ listmembers:)
Of course, there are only 40-50 or so that post with regularity, I think.
