Either the population will triple, or people will get nasty.

The way I see it (not nessarily how the big-wigs see it) is people want
places to get away from other people. That's why ten people don't (usually)
share a one bedroom apartment. If people are crammed even tighter into
what limited space we have, I kinda see people getting violent.

Either that or they totally retreat into somewhere with space and area.
Like the Matrix. It's not real space, but Virtual space is as good as any.

I could be wrong...

"It's not like talking with people. With people, anything can be said and
nothing matters. Words and words and words. You go to a party... people
sit around and say things. Anything. Just to talk. Put forth views and
debate them. Sometimes you get a new idea. Sometimes something changes"

Don't forget that the VITAS plagues took a HUGE toll of the world population.
I don't have my books with me, but wasn't it something like 1 out of 10? Or was
that Goblinization? *shrug* Oh heck, that would still leave 9 bil.

Powerhouse, that is a terrible and terrifying spell, and the drain code should
be to die for. I can't wait to load some of my NPCs with it *evil nasty
sadistic grin* And I thoght Firestorm was cruel.

What else? Oh yeah, shields. How do they work? I've seen several versions. One
All of them are the same in terms of game mechanics. What's different is how
you visualise them. My shields are visualised as a suit of medieval armour,
emanating a blue glow. I've heard of "mirror shields" which deflect the
spell away from the target. What shielding basically is is the feverent belief
that nothing can get to you. No openings, no vulnerabilities. What it comes
down to is a mind game. If your opponent's belief that he can hurt you is
stronger than your belief that he can't, he wins! The shields are breached.
The visualisation is just window dressing. It's ALL in the mind, literally
mind over matter.
That help?

Okay, I'll stop preaching now.
