You know, I was rather pleased to log on and check my mail and _not_ have
to read about "Munchkin Killing" or anything of the sort. Instead of
being grumpy, I was, as I said, rather pleased.

Now, I know I can get a little wound up at times, and so can the other
denizens of this list. But if we all just thought for a second about the
other people on this list (read: civil to one another), then these sorts
of things wouldn't happen. Now you may think I'm the pot calling the
kettle black, but I don't think so. I people hadn't started slagging on
my friend or on the way I game, I wouldn't have starting the full-on flamage.
And then the whole thing could have been avoided.

I know in the ShadowTK FAQ is says not to bragg about how bad-ass you are
because people don't like it. It annoys people. The same should be true
for the RN list. We all have different style of gaming and playing and
GMing. There is NO reason for anyone of us to get on here and say
anything that could be construed as "Your type of gaming sucks" or "My type
of gaming is better." There is no reason for this. As we have all seen,
this really annoys people.

Mr. Falk, perhaps something along these lines could be included into the
next modification of the RN FAQ?

And now, a question, if I may.

Vampires, among other creatures, drain essence. But do you gain that
essence back, and if so, how long does it take? Our group has looked and
we can't seem to find anything. It's our guess Essence is returned, but
we haven't seen anything in print to justify our opinion.

They have more specific rules on Essence Drain in Paranormal Animals of
Europe source. In short, vampires permanently takes the victimes essence
away (though the victim must be in a strong emotional state and blood
must be drawn....now then, if the victim can make that virtually
impossible meditation skill roll....'awoom! I am at total peace with
myself. Total harmony....the vampire ripping at my neck with his fangs
is of no concern...awoooom......').

should apply to every character type.

That depends on the kind of Essence Drain power the vampire has. Paranormal
Animals of Europe has expanded that power over the one in SR2 and PAoNA:
there's Temporary and Permanent Essence Drain. I'm not going to repeat the
entire text (it's about 2/3rds of a page :), but it boils down to Permanent
Essence Drain being, well, permanent, and Essence lost due to Temporary
drain comes back at one point per minute.
