I was looking through the WWW today and i had an idea...

Why not make a SR oriented magazine or newspaper on the Web created and written by members
of this newsgroup.

I just thought of it, so the idea is a little scetchy

Members of this newsgroup could send in additions to the articles for GMs and players of
SR and SRII to read and possibly blend in to their game

All articles would be written for the year 2055 and up (in that perspective and about SR)

Since this idea is sketchy, comments and suggestions are WANTED.

Take a look at the Shadowrun WWW server, at:

and you may find that some of what you're thinking about
has already been done. However, if you're organising anything, count
me in - until the end of June, I have unlimited net access, with full
facilities for writing and testing html pages.

We just got a WWW application here, and was interested in getting addresses
for SR stuff via WWW. I know I've seen at least one on here at some time.
Thanks.

As your system administrator or other support staff; not all
systems have the necessary software.
You can also do a Gopher search for the keyword 'web' to get some
text-based information about it.

Okay, the following places are good to start from if you wish to find SR
stuff on the W3:

http://www.ip.net/shadowrun/

and

http://www.oat.ts.astro.it/marcucci/sr2/index.html

(They are pretty much interlinked, so from the other you can easily get
to the other.)

Let me begin by apologizing for using the list for a non-game topic. I'm on the
editorial board of an academic journal. I have been so impressed by the WWW
pages of Paolo, JD, and others that I'm trying to convince the editor to set up
a home page for the journal. My problem is that I'm not a cyberhead and I
suspect that very soon he's going to say 'good idea, make it so'. If any of you
can point me to any online or offline sources on how to use HTML et cetera, I'd
really appreciate it. To avoid more wasted bandwidth, please email me directly
at xanth@****.uky.edu thanks muchly, Terry
