Actually, it's 'index.html' -- this information is in the FAQ.

well, I don't see the problem. If you know the address, you should be
able to simply type it in... although, I am using the "netbrowser"
not Mosaic... anyway, there should also be a net-search page
somewhere, just look up Shadowrun.

From the type of inquiry, I tend to suppose he has no knowledge of the
Web, so a brief introduction should be required:

(disclaimer: if I'm completely wrong about this, and Matt knows all about
the Web and Mosaic, well, feel free to twhap me)

My Shadowrun Archive is a series of html documents stored right here on
my computer, that can be accessed via the so called World Wide Web.
The great discussion about the purpose and the meaning of the WWW is
skipped here.

So, to access any document stored on the Web (or WWW, or World Wide Web)
you need a client program (often called a browser) on your machine.

This browser comes in basically flavours: text or graphic oriented.

A typical text oriented Web browser is Lynx.

A typical graphic oriented Web browser is NCSA Mosaic (and all its children)

---------

If you have access to one of these browsers, just select the "Open URL" or
"Goto" or "Open document" entry in the application's menu and enter
the
address to my page (note that in Web jargon this type of address is called
URL - Uniform Resource Locator) and, voila', there you are.

Hope that all this made some sense....

Bye, Paolo

Thanks, Paolo. I figured it out on my own, but at least you gave me a
straight reply.

Hey, I should have guessed the master of the Web site reads this
list... and since he does, I would like to congradulate him on a job
well done. But I do have a question. Do you have a document
conversion for the pages? It gets kind of tedious to remove all the
codes that are saved along with it...

Well, if you have Mosaic you can use the Save as... option and save the
document as Plain Text. This will blow away all the codes. Other browsers
should have a similar function.

Hope this helps, Paolo
