They can be converted fairly easilly to second edition rules [having
done the lot] Some of the resulting drain codes are a little nasty [2
or 3 ((F / 2) + 6)D's] but it certainly adds some flavour.
Note the nice idea for the cone shaped breath spell, this is area
affect and either touch, or maybe more fairly (for drain) limited
range. Set to fire from and parrallel to wand this has its uses when
you mention Anchoring. [must demo the fiendish results sometime]
