According to a couple runner mates of mine who managed to wangle their
way to I-Con a couple weeks ago, that just ain't the case on either count.
The rules aren't being rewritten from the ground up (yes, success tests are
same), there are just a few big mods to the combat system. Furthermore,
according to his most holy highness, Tom Dowd, they aren't re-releasing any
of the supplements except for the Grimore. The RBB, SSC, SS, and just about
anything else you may have thrown your money into is safe (or so it seems).

I haven't heard anything about this other than what I've heard on this list.
I'll check with the boys at Usenet, but...

You're right tho. It would have to be quite the special effects extravaganza
(probably). Then again, if they could find the right backers...
