For all of you who were complaining about the idea of implanting a
datajack into a child/infant because they are too tiny, I found a
reference in one fo the books to this kind of procedure.

Oh, and it was a FASA book, not a novel.

The entire second half of Virtual Realities is a short story about the
Matrix-Born project in which infants were raised in the VR of the matrix
in order to essentially breed a group of "super-deckers".

At least that shows that you can do it.
