cks comments on regenerating creatures:

I have always assumed that Regeneration covered physical damage only;
mental must be healed normally or banished with slappatches. Otherwise
creatures with regeneration are, in my opinion, simply too gross.

>>>>[agreed chummer, but the distinction made by gargoyle and myself is
between Physical Damage and the Physical Damage Condition Monitor (PCM). a
club causes Physical Damage which is applied to the Mental (Stun) Damage
Condition Monitor (MCM). what gargoyle and i are saying is that Physical
Damage can be regenerated. spells, chemicals and biotics cause damage applied
to the Mental (Stun) Damage Condition Monitor, but the damage is different
and considered a special case here. for example: if spell causes physical
damage then the critter can regenerate it. if the spell causes mental
damage then the critter cannot regenerate it and must suffer the normal
recovery time (and associated penalties). if a critter suffers damage from
chemicals then he can regenerate the damage if and only if the damage is
applied to the PCM. chemical damage that goes to the MCM cannot be
regenerated (unless it overflows to the PCM. overflow can be regenerated).
damage from biotics cannot be regenerated until the biotic agent is
eliminated from the body. then the critter could regenerate damage again,
maybe at 1/5 or 1/10 the normal human recovery rate (but not at the normal
full regeneration rate). lost attribute points or lost PCM points (e.g.
kamikaze) could regenerate at 1 per day or 1 per hour (maybe reduce the
time by making a Body Success Test against the original Power Level of the
biotic or chemical). this is all IMHO, and comments (thanks cks) are
welcome.
