Subject: Your Banshee formula

Some stated this earlier------------->
How does one get a Banshee. It's really simple but not very cost
effective. Here's the simple recipe.
1 part Combat Mage
1 feathered serpent
1 Triad security firm
1 Yakuza gang
24 Wasp helicopters
6 Aztechnology Aguilar Ex-Attack 'copters
3 Stonewall Main Battle Tanks
Actually you just need the mage to go astral and nail the banshee
pilots with a mana ball. Next you need a friendly decker (Hey thats me)
to open it. We would have had two banshees but I blew one up (the
second never made it home either, it too was destroyed). As to the rest
of the recipe, it's amazing what kimd of trouble you can cook up.
TYR Securities, Inc. now has one Aguilar working. For those who have
not heard, TYR is a corp (of which I am the CEO) that deals in protecting
, shall we say *hot* merchandise and runners until they get to their
destination. Resonable fees (hey, I run shadows too). As to how I got
it, it wasn't easy. The only thing left from the above list was 3
Aguilars. Advice from one runner to the rest. If you run into the
CAS Stonewalls (and I hope you don't, I won't wish that on anyone)
try a power ball against the rail gun. *GRIN* Stand back though,
it leaves a 500' diameter crater that is 100' deep. If you don't
believe me, go down to the old state of Florida, where Georgia and
Florida's borders meet that crater still exists.
------------------>

I have to disagree with a few of your points. 1) You cannot specifically
target a part of a vehicle. That would make it impossible to specifically
target the rail gun on the Stonewall. I get this reasoning from the Rigger
Black book, page 104.

"A vehicle is considered a single, complete entity. Its wheels
and windshield, for example, are not directly connected and
may be constructed of different materials, but they are
interrelated components. Because of this "aural wholeness"
of the vehicle, a mage cannot selectively target an individual
portion of the vehicle using magic."

That proves that you can't target the rail gun. Sorry.

2) The mage cannot nail the pilots in the Banshee, because he/she cannot
get into the banshee because it has an aura, and you can't enter another
living being with an aura, it's the same thing for a Banshee. If you want
more proof examine why a Car can drive through a mana barrier and the pilots
would not be affected.

3) Even if the mage could get in the Banshee, he could not cast spells at the
people inside. The way I understand it, if the mage is astral, he needs
something else that is astrally active to lock his spells on to. If one
of the pilots happened to be a magician who was ascensing, then it would
work.

4) How would a decker enter tha Banshee? The Banshee would not be part of the
matrix, so how the hell can a Decker go into it? Usually the banshees are
not connected to anything, except for maybe radio contact with their home
base. I don't see how a decker could get into it, and if he could how
he could open the doors. Maybe you meant a decker in the real world with
Electronics/Computer skill, and thn that might work. (I always prefer
brute force!)

Well, those are my problems with your story, so.... Here's my formula:

I part Psychotic Rigger/Goon named Tailhook
I part Powerful Raccoon Shaman who will go unnamed

That's all you need. We could do it... anyhow you look at it... But I'm not
going to give away how we could.. that's the Raccoon shaman's part...

Andrew Danforth (Tailhook)
