Since the human brain is geared to seing red/green/blue, ir/uv and
thermographic cyberoptics translate the appropriate light/energy into
a red/green/blue image, and feeds it into the brain. Now, if your
cyberoptics are translating heat patterns into something that your
brain can understand, then "visible" light would be confusing: "][s
that bright area a hot-spot or just a table lamp?"
][t is reasonable for a metahuman to get cyberoptics that duplicate
his original eyes (UV/lowlight for elves, thermo for dwarfs, etc.)
custom made that would work like the original, but they'd probably be
more expensive (25%-50% more).
