What do I think? I think it is a WONDERFUL idea. A couple of things come
to mind though.

SIZE:
A "micro-gyro" system is not exactly a tiny thing and I don't
think you could mount it on anything smaller than rounghly Machine-Pistol
sized. A derringer could not use one. So, as a general rule I would say
only weapons with a concealibility of less than 6 could mount one. This
includes some of the very-heavy pistols, SMGs, even a Bow (nasty).

Now, the system would consist of one or more gyroscopes, an
electric motor and a power supply (battery). Upon powering up, I don't
think it would make A LOT of noise, but the only idea of the type and
loudness I can think of right off hand is when, in the movie Ghostbusters,
they powered up the backpacks (kinda a low rumbling, building for about 3
seconds and then fading away). It would have to be pretty quiet to hear
it. And you would have to know what you are listening for.

Depending on where it is mounted, either over or under, it takes up space
normally used by other equipment. If mounted under, it precludes the use
of a grenade launcher. If mounted on top, you cannot use imaging scopes
or a laser targeting system. Furthermore, they subtract their rating from
your initiative roll due to the fact they really don't want to move. If
course, if you fire without the gyros running, the initiative penalty
doesn't apply, but you get no recoil nullification either.

Mount: Over/Under

Effect: -1 per level to recoil
Weight: .5 per level
