>>>>>>[ Not up on yer gear, eh Doctor? Tacnukes ain't really nukes at
all
but they share certain similarities ... and well, the name stuck. Think of a
tacnuke as a nuclear strike but with a very narrow window of effect, say the
size of a couple football fields. Damage ratios drop sharply after the
initial area effect and there is nocollateral heat blast and the fallout and
EM shock are almost negligible. The real beaut about these babies is that
you can't get much cleaner ... we're talking a brief flash of light and then
a crater and noone knows what hit em. ]<<<<<<

>>>>>[ "Not up on my gear?" (You Americans and your
"slang", it is quite
intriguing.) Herr Merc, I did not say that tactical nuclear devices produced
an EM pulse on the order of a "regular" nuclear weapon (as If any device of
such destructive power could ever be refered to as "regular"). I was simply
pointing out that they DID, in fact, produce such an effect, although I concede
not on the magnitude witnessed here, as you said, "ALMOST negligible".
