Gee this is getting a little crowded,
So it is edited for the space impared.

Nor did I call you one.

I'm sorry if this insults you but any GM worth the title can come up with
better ways to give his players a hard time and any good team of shadowrunners
would make the mage who laid the damn thing wish he was in another line of work.

Gee, the first thing I learned from reading the Shadowrun Rulebook was that
SR Magic is nothing like AD&D Magic.
Oh, Minotaur, I read both my SRI and Grimore I and couldn't find where you
got that strange spell lock idea from. Is that SRII? Can you please qoute
your source of inspiration?
There is also one problem with your idea Minotaur. Spell locks can only be
used on sustained spells and must be attuned to the target. So you still need
the mage to be present for it to be of any good, because you can't have a
machine activating a spell and the mage has to sustain it until the spell lock
is set.

>>Umm, I think I've already pointed out an exception to this.
And what was that?

>>Ah, but it's not. We're not talking about magic in a virtual

Neither am I, what gave you that idea. I used that example because it was
and idea that much more discussion than it merited.

Sidenote: If such a spell lock could be made it would have to go off when
the door opened. That means there would be no way for anyone to pass through
the doorway without getting blasted. To do otherwise would require the spell
to be directed by tech (i.e. the maglock). Not so useful.

>>I really do think you're talking apples and oranges here.
You mean apples and soy-apples don't you?

>>But thanks for the comments anyways.
And thank you for the topic.

See Ya in Shadows,

P.S. Russell Howard, who told you this little gem of information? Do you have
anymore little tidbits of Grimore II knowledge to share with the rest of
us. Speak up.
