In shadowrun there is cyber technology - the replacement or
agmentation of the natural body with man-made parts
now were not talking about glass eyes and wooden legs like there
are today (yes i know there are better things then this)
but fully functional mechanical apparatuses used to replace or
agument parts of the human body
take a cyber arm for example not only does it replace the normal
arm with not loss of movement or ability, but it can be created to
give the user greater strength because it is a machine
a cyber eyes is much better than the normal human eye
wired reflexes can boost the reflex time of the central nervous system
What I hopefully plan to do over the next weeks is to bring forward
so new ideas and stats
and with the help of you ( my fellow gamers) maybe
add on a few more ideas and clear up some rough points
the two ideas i have right now are
1 robotics type stuff SR has arms, legs, eyes, ears etc
they can give humans skill they would otherwise never know (skillwires)
so why not create a fully functional robotic human
- or (i have done this) a RIGGER controlled robot human
(you know remote link, the works)
why have your rigger go in when he can send other and better
body in for him
2 the creation of cybernectically controlled enhanced armor
(iron man watch out)
lets face it making a mechanical arm that looks real and
interfaces with the human body has got to be a lot harder
than just letting a suuit of armor augment everything
( riggers will have lots of fun with this, rig into the armor
while wearing it)
3 off the main subject - we haven't seen any jet pacts yet
but we have trucks and tanks(harriers) that fly
4 why does a cyberdeck have to look like a keyboard
while you can have a c2 in your head
why not have a cyber helmet
put every thing you need right on your head and they won't ask
as many questions
lets face it maost of the room on a cyberdeck has got to
be the keys and not the optical chips (other wise you couldn't
fit a c2 deck in your head even if it was twice as compact
as a keyboard deck)
5 what are smart gun links really
why does the guy on the front of the SS catalog
have a data cord?
6 we can make eyes with tons of accesories
what about sunglasses (ie smart mirrored shades
for all those mages)
if you can think up of more things we can discuse and
hack over please speak up
