The main difference we've used in our campaign is that if a mage wants to
get magnification added to his natural eye (we ain't talkin' about cyber-
eyes, get that clear up front) he has to use optical. Optical mag, you're
still seeing the real object. Electronic mag, you ain't seeing the object
anymore-- you're looking at a remote image. And for a mage, that spells
insta-death for spell-casting abilities. So any of our mages who wanted to
add magni-lensing to their eyes went with optical and everyone else went
with electronic (and cyber-eyes to put them in, usually, too).
