he doesn't come back latter. However, this spell was cast by a paladin
of the Tir (read "Enough levels of initiation to shock a munchkin"). It
is possible that he was using a particularly nasty version of the spell
that is permanent, and accordingly is not available to the common mage.
Or he may have just quickened it on the spot.
In our campaign, we do use a permanent version of the Turn to Goo spell,
but it only affects _NON-LIVING_ things. This does NOT affect
cyberware in a living body. Sitting on the rack, it is fair game! This
spell was designed to break down the complex molecules in most toxic
substances, and is used almost exclusively by a certain corp. Even
with the non-living only specification, the drain is nasty enough that
it is typically done only in ritual settings.
