John,

As the "editor" of the Undergroup, I'm glad you found it interesting, but
unfortunately, I doubt there will be any more editions, at least not from
my end.

Let me tell you a story:

In september when school came into session, a group of players came
together and one of the players decided to make "The Underground" to hand
out at play session. Well, at one point, he up and got himself married,
leaving the shadowrun group to play the more demanding role of husband.
The rest of the group, saddened by the now lack of gaming newsletter
begged me to continue the tradition. I shrugged and said 'sure, why not'.
Thinking that I didn't have the creative power to come up with great
stories at all times, I decided to make it open to net.submissions.

Immediately after I published the first issue, Jerry Stratton, the NAGEE
master himself asked if he could archive issues along side the NAGEE.
This made me happy, and they were archived. And all was good.

But a bombshell was dropped in December. I got myself a new job that made
it difficult to work on the Underground (especially when you are a new
employee trying hard not to screw up AND impress the boss at the same time).
Yet I managed to get out four issues before another dissappointment. With
the end of school, two of my four players were leaving. One graduated and
the other ran out of money and moved home. Lacking in warm bodies, my
shadowrun group folded. *sounds of Taps is heard wailing in the background*

So thus, at least on my part, The Underground is finis. I no longer have
a group to write stories for and thus little incentive. I know it's sad,
but c'est le vie.

BUT (!!!) If someone else is willing to take over the Underground, that
would be great. Your only jobs would be to make sure that copies got out
to certain players on a list I have (subscribers) and that a copy gets to
Jerry Stratton for placement in the FTP archives.

This is a great group project for a playing group.

If you might be interested, drop me a line. I'll get back to you as soon
as I get back from New Orleans.
